Who we are

ConsultMarg ("we", "us") is a system that education consultancies use to manage leads, students, documents and money. ConsultMarg is a product of Codedrops Tech. We are based in Kathmandu, Nepal. You can reach us at [email protected].

This policy covers two things: this website, and the ConsultMarg application that consultancies use. Section 3 explains how the two differ.

1. Information we collect on this website

When you ask for a demo or contact us, you give us your name, your consultancy's name, your phone or WhatsApp number, optionally your email address, the size of your team, and any message you write. If you contact us on WhatsApp, we also see the details WhatsApp shares with us.

This website does not use advertising cookies. At the time of writing it does not use analytics tools either. If that changes, we will update this page. Our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and reliability.

2. How we use it

• To reply to you and arrange a demo or pilot.
• To set up and support your consultancy's account if you become a customer.
• To keep our website and services secure, and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Information in the ConsultMarg application

A consultancy that uses ConsultMarg stores information about its own leads and students in its own separate workspace. This can include names, phone numbers, email addresses, passport and qualification details, test scores, documents, messages, payments and notes.

For that information, the consultancy decides what to collect and why, and we process it on the consultancy's behalf to provide the service. If you are a student or parent and have a question about your information, please contact the consultancy that holds your file first. We will help them respond.

Inside a consultancy, staff see only what their role allows, and some details such as phone numbers are masked by default. Student links are private and expire after a set period.

4. Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to run the service, and only with:

• Service providers that help us operate it, such as hosting, email and form services.
• Messaging and other services that a consultancy chooses to connect, for example Sparrow SMS, Meta (Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp), Telegram and IELTS Test Nepal. When a consultancy connects one, information needed for that feature is sent to it, and that provider's own terms and privacy policy apply.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep website enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and to keep reasonable business records. A consultancy's workspace data is kept while it is a customer. When a consultancy ends its agreement with us, we will help it export its data, and we will delete or return it within a reasonable time unless the law requires us to keep it.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including separate workspaces for each consultancy, role-based access, masked phone numbers and an audit log. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. Where we hold the information on behalf of a consultancy, we may ask you to contact that consultancy, or pass your request to it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

8. Children

Our website is meant for consultancy owners and staff, not for children. Students under 18 may appear in a consultancy's records, and the consultancy is responsible for having the right permission from the student's parent or guardian.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will tell customers directly.
